How WGG crafted Malika Clover’s youthful look with a creative shoot and bold editing

How we achieved
614K impressions
and gained 1K new followers for business set up company

Malika Clover is a new Dubai-based clothing brand for women and men. WGG was asked to develop a unique look for their Instagram feed. The goal was to grab the attention of young people and do it fast, all while sticking to a strict budget.

The Challenge

We had a few challenges when we started this project. Time was short—the brand wanted a complete look for its social media debut fast, meaning we needed quick ideas and approvals.

Money was also tight, so big location shoots and fancy editing were out. And with many fashion brands fighting for young people’s attention on the same apps, we had to make sure Malika Clover’s style and products stood out.

The Solution

We came up with a slightly out-there idea that still felt true to the brand and was totally doable. Right away, we knew we needed to nail three things given the limits we were working with: keep the idea simple, make production smooth, and create stuff we could reuse on social media.

Concept and creative direction

Instead of crafting a complicated story or getting lots of sets and props, we went for a strong, adaptable look that we could do fast and keep consistent.

Our creative plan put importance on using colors that stood out, framing shots with confidence, and using special photo styles that would make each post pop on a crowded Instagram feed. This way, we showed off a clear brand look – new, bold, and city-like – with not many visual tools.

Team and roles

To make this work well, we put together a small team: a creative manager to head up the idea and keep things on track, a photographer to get the main pictures, and a designer to handle layout and photo editing for social media.

Everyone had a clear job, which kept things moving. The creative manager signed off on the moodboards and shot lists, the photographer made sure to get all the necessary shots ASAP, and the designer set up templates and did quick edits to turn the photos into Instagram posts.

The Сoncept

We created a visual concept that shows Malika Clover's main idea: “We don’t chase perfection. We honor the raw, the unfinished.”

This idea became the concept— “Untouched nature. Simple style. Fashion.”— a short statement where being imperfect feels real, and simplicity is a clear design choice.

Implementation Process

To make sure we got everything done on time and without spending too much, we broke the project down into simple steps that we could finish quickly. By managing the workload this way, we were able to keep the project moving forward smoothly and make sure that each part was completed on schedule and within the amount of money we had available.

This approach helped the team stay organized and made it easier to keep track of our progress, preventing any unexpected delays or extra costs. We focused on being as efficient as possible during each stage, which allowed us to use our resources wisely and still produce good results.

From the initial planning to the final delivery, we carefully monitored each step to ensure alignment with both time and budget targets, resulting in a successful outcome that met all requirements.

Stage One

We started with a small studio shoot using an iPhone. A plain white background and basic colored fabrics gave us a simple base.

Then, we added cut-out images of natural artwork to the photos.

This easy method allowed us to quickly get many poses and textures, which we used as the base for the visuals we made later.

Stage Two

No AI touched this photo retouching project, which combined nature shots with other visuals.

The designer added every visual bit by hand. They carefully layered things, lining up cutouts and textures from nature. They also tweaked the tone, contrast, and color to make sure the new stuff looked like it belonged there and wasn't just slapped on.

This wasn't a rush job. The designer spent about ten hours putting together and polishing the visuals, tweaking things until each frame had the right mix of natural feel and crispness.

The extra time let the designer fix small things—edges, shadows, and grain—that give it a handmade feel. This makes the final shots fit smoothly into the brand's look.

Stage Three

We put together the final visual grid using three kinds of images: studio shots on a white background, pictures we touched up with backgrounds and other elements, and close-ups from the client.

We arranged each image to balance blank space, pops of color, and texture, so the profile looks like one seamless piece instead of just a bunch of random posts.

After that, we exported the finished grid in Instagram formats and set up a posting order to keep the visual flow consistent on the profile.

Why It Worked

Instagram often works as the initial meeting point between a brand and its audience. Before deciding, people need to like what they see. Only then will they start thinking about price or other concerns.

For Malika Clover, the visual system took care of that important first impression. It showed a clear concept and a relatable style that made the brand seem real and appealing. When people connect with a brand’s idea and values, buying becomes quicker and more natural. That’s why a solid, consistent visual style can boost a brand’s image and help increase sales.
